The Camera Toss

People ask about the camera toss a lot. Mike Larson has some info and videos at his blog, but when I was shooting a wedding last weekend with Ray Pryor, I decided to do an impromptu little “class” on how to do it. Ray shot it with his killer 5d MkII, which did an amazing job in such low light.

Sweet job on the vid, Ray!

Here’s me and Ray in the rain!

February 7, 2010 - 12:30 pm Millie - D700 I'm not having any luck setting up the bracketing settings so that the camera fires off consecutive shots after the 2 sec timer goes off. Any ideas suggestions?

January 18, 2010 - 9:23 pm Joe Federer - Dude, this is killer. I might have to go out and get a fisheye just to make this work (I just tried it with a 50mm on a D3 and the FoV was too small (and I'm not willing to toss it higher...ehhe) ) .... awesome.
